
Directory of County
Farm Bureau Scholarships
In
addition to the South Carolina Farm Bureau Foundation, a
number of County Farm Bureaus have their own scholarship
programs.
Interested
persons can make contributions directly to these programs.
Students
who meet the eligibility requirements and are interested in
applying for these scholarships should contact the appropriate
county Farm Bureau office.
ABBEVILLE
COUNTY FARM BUREAU
Scholarships: Two $1,000 scholarships each year.
Eligibility: Parent or grandparent must have an Abbeville FB
membership and students must be pursuing an ag related career.
How to
get an application: Applications available at the county
office. Completed applications can be returned to the county
office or by mail, e-mail, or fax.
Deadline: The deadline for submitting an application is March
30. The applicant will be notified by mail if they are chosen
and they will be notified by May 1.

AIKEN
COUNTY FARM BUREAU
Scholarship: The Trent Hutto Memorial Scholarship Award
Eligibility: Sophomore, junior, or senior students pursuing a
bachelor’s degree in agriculture or ag related major who are
residents of Aiken County. Applicant’s parents (or applicant)
must also be an Aiken County Farm Bureau member.
How to
get an application: Applications can be mailed, faxed or picked
up in person at the local Aiken County office.
Deadline: Deadline for applications is no later than September
1 prior to the beginning of the first semester of the following
academic year. Applications can be submitted in person or by
mail and those chosen will be contacted by the county secretary
as soon as the Board of Directors picks the applicant.

ANDERSON
COUNTY FARM BUREAU
Scholarships: Two $1,000 scholarships each year.
Eligibility: Applicant must be an Anderson county resident, and
a college sophomore, junior, senior pursuing an ag related
degree

BEAUFORT
COUNTY FARM BUREAU
Scholarship: One $1,000 scholarship
Eligibility: Applicants must be a Beaufort County FB member, a
high school senior with a 2.5 GPA of a 4.0 system, and pursuing
a degree in agriculture or an agricultural related major.
How to
get an application: Applications can be picked up at the
Beaufort County FB office, by calling the office, or by faxing a
request to (843-522-0785)
Deadline: Completed applications must be returned in person,
e-mailed, mailed, or faxed by August 1. The applicants will be
selected by September 1.

BERKELEY
COUNTY FARM BUREAU
Scholarship: One $1,000 scholarship
Eligibility: Sophomore, junior or senior of a Berkeley County
Farm Bureau family pursuing a bachelor’s degree in agriculture
or an agriculture related major

Scholarships: Two $500.00 scholarships
Eligibility: Applicants must be a graduating high school senior
residing in Cherokee County
How to
get an application: Applications can be picked up at Gaffney
Senior High School, Blacksburg High School, and Heritage
Christian School guidance offices or at the Cherokee County Farm
Bureau office located at 221 W Robinson Street in Gaffney.
Deadline: Deadline for applications is March 12, 2008;
applicants will be notified by mail by April 1, 2008.

Eligibility: Georgetown County FB member in an ag related

GREENVILLE COUNTY FARM BUREAU
Scholarships: $1,000 to each of three recipients.
Eligibility: Scholarships will be awarded to a sophomore,
junior, or senior pursuing a degree in agriculture or an
agricultural related major at a two or four-year college and
maintaining a minimum GPR of 2.3 on a 4.0 basis.
How to
get an application: Contact the Greenville County FB office.
Deadline: Submit applications to Post Office Box 276, Mauldin,
SC, 29662 before May 15, 2008; incomplete applications will not
be considered (including photo). Applicants will be notified by
mail if selected.

Eligibility: The applicant must be from Hampton County or have
a family connection to Hampton County.

related major.

NEWBERRY COUNTY FARM BUREAU
Scholarship: One $1,000 scholarship
Eligibility: Newberry County Farm Bureau Scholarship is given
to a college sophomore, junior, or senior from Newberry County
majoring in an ag related field.
How to
get an application: Applications for the Newberry County FB
Scholarship can be picked up at the county office beginning
March 1.
Deadline: Applications are due back into the county office by
mail or in person before April 30; recipients are notified in
June or July

The male winner and/or the female winner of the Newberry County
Farm Bureau Ambassador Contest each receives a $500.00
scholarship. The winner of the Miss Newberry County Farm Bureau
pageant also receives a $500.00 scholarship.
OCONEE
COUNTY FARM BUREAU
The male
winner and the female winner of the Oconee County FB Ambassador
Contest each receives a $500.00 scholarship. Contact the Oconee

ORANGEBURG
COUNTY FARM BUREAU
Scholarship: One $1,000 scholarship ($500 per semester)
Eligibility: Applicants must be a college junior or senior
pursuing a degree in agriculture or an agricultural related
major and an Orangeburg County Farm Bureau member as of January
1 of scholarship year.
How to
get an application: Applications can be obtained by calling,
mailing, or by visiting the Orangeburg County FB office.
Deadline: June 1 of scholarship year; incomplete applications
will not be considered. Chosen applicant will be notified by
mail within 30 days. Applications must be mailed to Orangeburg
County FB, P O Box 1364, Orangeburg, SC 29116.

RICHLAND
COUNTY FARM BUREAU
Scholarships: Two $500.00 scholarships
Eligibility: Applicants must be Richland County Farm Bureau
members who are either a rising college junior or senior and
enrolled in an agriculture based major.
How to
get an application: Applications may be obtained by contacting
the Richland County Farm Bureau office.
Deadline: Applications should be submitted no later than March
20, 2008, to Scholarship Committee, Richland County Farm Bureau,
PO Box 12314, Columbia, SC 29211. Applicants will be notified
by mail no later than June 15, 2008 if they are chosen.

SUMTER
COUNTY FARM BUREAU
Scholarship: Sumter County FB donates a $500.00 scholarship to
Clemson University
Eligibility: Applicants must be accepted as a student at
Clemson and major in agriculture.
How to
get an application: Students can receive applications from
financial aid at Clemson University.
Deadline: Applications must be received by Clemson University
before July to be eligible for the fall semester.

WILLIAMSBURG COUNTY FARM BUREAU
Scholarships: Four $750 scholarships for a technical college or
two $1,500 scholarships for a four year college; total amount is
$3,000.
Eligibility: Applicants must be a member of Williamsburg County
Farm Bureau, attend any accredited agricultural college or
technical college in the US, and pursue an agricultural degree.
Scholarship is for sophomores, juniors, and seniors;
Williamsburg County high school students in the top third of
their class who have already been accepted to a college may
apply.
How to
get an application: Applicants can call the Williamsburg County
FB office to have an application mailed, or they can visit the
county office in person.
Deadline: Applications must be submitted by mail or in person
by May 30. Recipients will be telephoned and mailed a letter.
