Foundation Scholarships
South Carolina Farm Bureau Foundation Provides Scholarships
The purpose of the South Carolina Farm Bureau Foundation is to provide educational funds for scholarships to persons pursuing a higher education degree in agriculture or agriculturally-related majors.
The scholarships are for South Carolina Farm Bureau member families and will be awarded to rising college sophomores, juniors, and seniors.
These scholarships will be awarded on the basis of character, demonstrated leadership abilities, and dedication to agriculture or related fields. The recipients will be selected by the Scholarship Committee of the South Carolina Farm Bureau Foundation in accordance with guidelines developed by the Foundation's Board of Directors and approved by the Foundation's membership.

Applications for these scholarships should be mailed no later than
April 30
prior to the beginning of the first semester of the following academic year.

Amount of Each Scholarship
The Foundation's Board of Directors have indicated that funds available for 2013-14 will include six $1,000 scholarships. They will be designated as:
Betty J. DeWitt Scholarship Award
J. W. Wamer, Jr., Scholarship Award
Edwin Hugh Agnew Scholarship Award
Robert R. Coker Scholarship Award
Harry S. Bell Scholarship Award
C. B. Mitchell Scholarship Award
Donations to the SC Farm Bureau Foundation
Individuals or groups are encouraged to participate in funding the SC Farm Bureau Foundation by making tax-deductible contributions to the scholarship fund of their choice.
Contributions intended as memorial gifts should indicate the name of the person for whom the gift is given and the name and address of the family member designated to receive the acknowledgment of the gift.
