In this episode, Farm Bureau's Voices of Agriculture host Reggie Hall spends time in our studio talking with directors of three United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) agencies in South Carolina to find out just what their agencies have to offer farmers and private landowners. You may be surprised about the vast array of services they have to offer (for free!). It's not your father's mess hall! We take a trip to one of 13 kitchens in the nation's largest Army training facility-Ft. Jackson in Columbia for our Carolina Cooking segment. There we talk about the attention the Army has placed on nutrition and about their move from Kitchen Patrol, or KP. Our Palmetto Portrait aired around Veteran's Day, so to commemorate that time we dedicated the segment to our brave men and women that have, or currently are, serving our country by showing a variety of memorials.
