SC Farm Bureau Federation Adds Sox to Promotion & Education Staff
Cayce, SC – The South Carolina Farm Bureau Federation (SCFB) has named Stephanie Sox as the Promotion and Education Division Director. Sox joined the SCFB staff on June 1, bringing with her a strong knowledge and understanding of South Carolina agriculture, along with extensive experience in communicating with consumers about food and farming.
Sox graduated from Clemson in 2007 with a bachelor’s of science degree in agricultural education, and has spent her career advocating for agriculture. As Executive Director of the South Carolina Soybean Board, she increased their communication efforts and initiated a strong partnership with the South Carolina Pork Board to promote animal agriculture, soybeans’ number one customer. In 2015, she was named Communications Director of the South Carolina Department of Agriculture where she focused on proactively addressing key issues affecting farmers.
“We are extremely excited about Stephanie joining our organization. We are confident that the skills and talents she brings with her will have a lasting impact on all SCFB members and the organization as a whole,” said Harry Ott, SCFB President. “Her passion and enthusiasm for telling the story of how our food is grown will enable her to share the positive message of agriculture. We look forward to seeing constructive changes being made within the Promotion and Education division.”
The SC Farm Bureau Federation is a grassroots, non-profit organization celebrating and supporting family farmers, locally grown food, and our rural lands through legislative advocacy, education, and community outreach.
