Teachers, immerse yourself in a week-long, hands-on learning experience that brings agriculture to life while you earn three professional development graduate credits. Open to teachers of grades pre-K through 8th grade in public and private schools.
- Learn the importance of family farms and farmers
- Discover new ways to make lessons meaningful through practical applications and teaching strategies
- Receive lesson plans aligned to state curriculum standards to use in your own classroom
- Take home resources to teach students about agriculture and the benefits farmers add to the economy, the environment and the community
Date: June 10-14, 2019
Place: Hilton Columbia Center, Columbia, SC
Cost: $200. Your fee, along with sponsorship funds, provides tuition, some meals, lodging, farm tours & materials.
