Lee County Farm Safety Raffle

In 2023, there were 27 grain bin entrapments across the United States, with 16 being fatal. The 2024 Summary of U.S. Agricultural Confined Space-related Injuries and Fatalities proved grain entrapment to be the leading cause of agricultural confined space-related injuries and fatalities.

The Lee County Young Farmers and Ranchers are raising $6,000 to purchase grain bin rescue equipment for our local emergency personnel to use in farm accidents. Lee County grows over 52,500 acres of grain each year, thus this equipment is vital to the safety of our farmers.

The raffle tickets costs $20 per ticket or 6 tickets for $100. Raffle prizes include:

  • Springfield XDA Mod2 9mm handgun
  • STIHL Leaf blower
  • Agricultural Chemicals

Winners will be draw at the Lee County Farm Bureau Annual Meeting on August 5th. Do not have to be present to win.
