Amanda Shirey

CPCU, AIS, API, AINS, AIC, AAIC AgAdvisor™ Associate Director of Training, Farm Bureau Insurance

Mandy began her employment in April of 1998 with South Carolina Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company as a File Clerk, Policy Services Analyst and Account Bill Analyst. In 2001, Mandy transitioned to Executive Secretary – Operations for the Actuarial Department and she worked in that capacity until she was hired as an Account Underwriter in June of 2012. Mandy was promoted to Senior Account Underwriter in 2018. In 2021, Mandy transitioned to the Training Department where she accepted the Associate Director of Training position. Among her responsibilities as the Associate Director of Training are developing, implementing and upgrading training materials for agent schools, county secretaries, and insurance publications.

Mandy has distinguished herself by completing the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Certificate in General Insurance (INS), the Associate in General Insurance (AINS), the Associate in Insurance Services (AIS), the Associate in Personal Insurance (API), Associate in Claims (AIC) and AAIC Ag Advisor. In 2016 Mandy completed her undergraduate studies at Southern Wesleyan University in Central, SC graduating Magna Cum Laude. Some of Mandy’s accomplishments and involvement include the President's CPCU Scholarship Program Recipient, organizing the 2008 American Farm Bureau Actuarial Conference, serving on South Carolina Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company’s 50th Anniversary Committee, assisting with the 2007 South Carolina Underwriting Conference and volunteering as a Safety Committee Team Member for Laurel Baptist Church.

She currently resides with her husband, Marc. They have four children, two grandchildren (Allie (3) and Ellie (2)), one predeceased grandchild (Jack) and two grandchildren on the way.

Lisa Smartt

Lisa Smartt loves to laugh! She lives with her husband, Philip, in rural West Tennessee farm country. She’s written several books and travels around the country speaking about the joys and difficulties of the people business. She’s made a ton of mistakes and uses the lessons learned to encourage others. Philip and Lisa have two adult sons and two daughters-in-love. Her greatest desire is to love and encourage people in the midst of a sometimes painful and difficult world.

Terry Tribbey, API, AIS, began her career with Farm Bureau Insurance in Central Records in 1988 and then promoted to Administrative Assistant for Policy Services in 1999. In 2004, She was promoted to Policy Services Supervisor responsible for the Insurance Division and assumed responsibility of Supervisor for the Call Center in 2016.  She currently holds the Policy Services Manager position in that department.
