The SC Farm Bureau YF&R program is hosting a Harvest for All initiative for all members to engage in during the COVID-19 crisis throughout the month of April 2020.
There are many people in need as a result of this global pandemic. We must work together as a community to meet the growing needs our neighbors are facing. This initiative is an opportunity to give to those in need, while promoting the heart and goodness of the agricultural community.
- How To Participate
-
- Decide which charitable food effort you would like to support.
- Collect items for your donation.
- Take a picture of your donation before it is dropped off (maybe from your trunk, backseat, at the drop-off site, etc.)
- Post your picture and the message found under the "Social Media Post Guidelines" tab below on Facebook with the hashtag #Harvest4allcovid19
- Spread the word and encourage others in your county to do the same.
Challenge Rules
The Challenge will run throughout the month of April. Results are final April 30th.
SCFB will compile the following results (must use hashtag on Facebook to be included):
- Number of people who participate from each County or Collegiate Club
- Amount of food donated by each County or Collegiate Club
Only posts with the #harvest4allcovid19 hashtag will be counted for the Challenge!
SCFB will reward the county/chapter who has the most participation in both categories with a $100 donation to the food charity of their choice.
*Be sure to practice social distancing and follow all government guidelines when donating. Non-profits serving vulnerable communities are on the “Essential Business” list, and should have drop-off procedures in place to protect those who are delivering a donation.
