Dr. Steve Li is the extension weed scientist and associate professor in College of Agriculture of Auburn University. He is the team leader of the agronomic crops extension team of Auburn University. His research and extension program focuses on applied weed management in row crops, pesticide off-target movement, new application technology, utilizing drones to apply pesticides and precision application workflows, etc. He has published over 100 peer-reviewed journal papers, conference proceedings, technical sheets and extension guides. Bethany Funkhouser received a Bachelor of Science in agribusiness from Virginia Tech in 2021.

Lisa Smartt loves to laugh! She lives with her husband, Philip, in rural West Tennessee farm country. She’s written several books and travels around the country speaking about the joys and difficulties of the people business. She’s made a ton of mistakes and uses the lessons learned to encourage others. Philip and Lisa have two adult sons and two daughters-in-love. Her greatest desire is to love and encourage people in the midst of a sometimes painful and difficult world.
